Winning the toss, Sam Ewen elected to bowl on a visibly worn pitch at the County Ground, a decision not entirely supported by his team. The Frogs started positively, amassing 100 for the first 3 wickets on a day where large scores looked unlikely due to the irregular bounce. It took excellent spells of off-spin from Aditya More and Bobby Heard to bring a flurry of wickets, which led to the remaining 7 wickets being taken for just 15 runs. 

James Horler and James Ewen started the chase positively, scoring 64 for the first wicket at over a run a ball. Despite a stutter in the middle order, Sam Ewen and More finished the job with Dumplings reaching the total for the loss of 4 wickets.
